Yoga is an ancient system which has been developed over thousands of years to promote holistic well being. The body is kept healthy by assuming a variety of postures which have a beneficial effect, not only on muscles and joints, but on all internal organs and glands.

In contrast to many forms of exercise the postures are most effective when performed slowly, without strain, in a meditative manner.

Their effects are further enhanced by the use of deep controlled breathing and this is followed by deep relaxation and meditation
