What is Leisureplus?

Leisureplus is a leisure discount card that everyone can use in Newcastle.
The card gives big savings at a wide range of leisure and sports facilities in Newcastle. We are currently updating the list of partner organisations who also offer discounts for Leisureplus card holders. This information will hopefully be available at the beginning of November.
Leisureplus is open to anyone regardless of where they live.
There are no off-peak hour restrictions so when you use the card is up to you.
All cards are valid for one year.
What do I get?
If you have a Leisureplus card you will pay a lot less for almost all of the activities at Newcastle Leisure facilities.
Swimming, aerobics, weight training, hi-tech fitness and saunas are just some of the activities you can enjoy at cut prices, and that’s not all.
There are Advance Booking privileges. Leisureplus members can book seven days in advance; non-members can only book 3 days in advance.
Free Equipment hire deposit.
Discounts on sports coaching courses including football, tennis and swimming.
How do I become a Leisureplus member?
Joining is easy. You can apply for a Leisureplus at any Swimming Pool or Leisure Centre. If you are applying at a Leisure Centre or Swimming Pool you do not need to supply a passport photograph (as we can now take your photograph for you at these facilities please ensure all applicants are present when applying). You will need proof of address, your payment (cash or cheque) and proof of the benefit that you receive if you are applying for a Priority Card. Application forms are available at any Newcastle City Council Library to take away and complete at home.
Which Leisureplus is best for me?
Standard Cards
Everyone can apply for standard cards and they offer discounts of 20% and 10% at all Newcastle City Council leisure facilities.
Priority Cards
Priority cards are available to everyone who lives within the City Council boundaries, and receives one of the benefits listed below. It offers discounts of 60% and 40% at all Newcastle City Council leisure facilities.

Corporate Cards
If your business is in the City and five or more employees want to become members, you can join for only £7 each and you will get the same benefits as a Standard Card holder. Work hard then play hard for less!

Where do I get one?
You can pick up an application form at any Newcastle City Council Library,Swimming Pool or Leisure Centre.

Applications for Leisureplus cards can be made at any of the above and at the Customer Service Centres in the Civic Centre, Shields Road Byker and the Outer West at West Denton.
